Chris joins Graysons’ wills and probate team

We are delighted to announce that Chris Shaw has joined our busy wills and probate department.

Last updated on July 1st, 2015 at 04:02 pm

Originally from Doncaster and now living in Rotherham, Chris graduated from Bangor University in 2001 with a BSc (Hons) in psychology, after which he decided to travel. This led him to teaching English in Istanbul for two years, where he had the honour of teaching the president’s family.

Returning from his travels in 2004, Chris took up a post as a trainee trust and estates practitioner and has now worked in this field for eleven years. During this time Chris has worked for legal practices and has also dealt with estate administration at HSBC and an accountants, which gave him a different view of wills and probate work. Preferring the more traditional environment of a solicitors’ practice, Chris joined Graysons in May 2015. He secured a Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) in 2009 and is now studying to become a member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners).

Chris covers the whole range of wills and probate work, including powers of attorney, but he has particular expertise in dealing with estate administration, intestacies and missing beneficiaries.
